Gervasi Vineyard Wedding

– Bill and Sydni had a fun time planning their dream Gervasi Vineyard wedding. They designated Wednesday nights as Wine and Wedding Wednesdays where they would sit down and do some wedding planning over a bottle of wine. Although picking out the Save the Dates and Invitations was stressful (due to Sydni’s OCD), it was mostly a lot of fun and went very quickly. The first order of business was picking a venue and because Gervasi Vineyard is where Bill proposed (read their engagement story and see their engagement session), it was a natural selection.

Sydni wanted a classic, elegant and whimsical wedding. She envisioned a beautiful outdoor wedding with lots of flowers and subtle pops of peach and light pink. For her flowers, Sydni chose lots of English Garden flowers. Delicate flowers with texture in pastel colors as well as some greenery with shades of sage green. She wanted lots of peonies due to her LOVE of peonies.

One of Sydni’s favorite wedding purchases was her gown. She knew she wanted a lace dress from the very beginning. Sydni absolutely loves the look of lace and how delicate and elegant it is. She went to about 5 or 6 dress shops before she found the one. Ultimately, she chose her dress because of all the details. The intricate lace with the front lace panel down the center of the body, the sewn in bow, the crochet buttons on the back as well as the scalloping on the top and bottom of the dress. So many things she was looking for were combined in this one single dress.

To make her wedding gown even more special, Sydni embroidered her initials on a piece of the shirt that Bill wore on their first date and had her seamstress sew it into the inside of her dress. Sydni also embroidered a second piece of the shirt and made Bill a handkerchief that she gave to him as a gift on their wedding day. Her mother buttoned her into her gown and her father tied her bow, just like he did when she was a little girl involved in cheerleading and other activities.
