Cleveland Music Box Wedding
-Joanne and Ryan are one of those clients that feel like family. Between their engagement shoot and consultations leading up to the wedding day, we have had the honor of getting to know this very sweet couple. They are consistently real – no pretenses, no formalness – just open, friendly and fun! Really fun! So we were very excited to be spending this day with Joanne and Ryan. Even though it was one of those crazy hot, 90 degrees, 90% humidity days.
Ryan and Joanne were introduced by friends and had an undeniable attraction from that first moment. A few years later, Joanne sent him a teasing text after seeing him at a restaurant with his family and the rest was history. They have spent the last decade hosting house parties, hanging out at the beach with friends, rooting on the Tribe, Browns, and Cavs and savoring the best restaurants in Cleveland.
Once Ryan had picked out a stunning round brilliant solitaire with channel set diamonds, he invited Joanne to the Shoreby Club’s annual Christmas party with his family. They have dinner, caroling, and horse-drawn carriage rides which Joanne finds to be the highlight of the night. After dinner, Ryan asked Joanne to join him for a carriage ride, and about halfway through the journey, the driver stopped the horses and stepped aside while Ryan got down on one knee asking for Joanne’s hand. It was perfect – their own special moment before rejoining their family back at the party.
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Communion of Saints Parish, where Joanne walked down the aisle in a white mermaid look gown with cap sleeves and a long train. Blue encrusted heels served as her “something blue” and she carried a bouquet of peonies, roses and calla lilies in shades of pink and white. They put their own special touch on the end of the ceremony by including a recessional with bagpipes and an eco-friendly balloon release on the steps outside of the church.
Joanne envisioned a stylish and classy reception with soft pink, silver and white details. Eventistry, led by Diana Warner, transformed the Music Box into a romantic and chic space with fun and elegant details like flirty chair covers, luxurious linens, and colorful centerpieces. Joanne and Ryan also participated in preparing for the reception, by tying the bows on the invitations and handcrafting the escort cards. They also personalized the reception with custom M&M favors and a comical topper on the semi-naked cake.
Thank you Ryan and Joanne for sharing your beautiful day with us! Congratulations!
