Greystone Hall Wedding
-Haley and Drew originally met while attending Copley High School. They both secretly had crushes on one another, but never voiced it. After Haley moved to Lakewood many years later, she reconnected and became close friends with Drew. It was while accompanying Drew on a business trip to Boston that Drew surprised Haley when he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
Because Haley had always envisioned an elegant and romantic wedding, Inn Walden was the perfect location for her ceremony. Walden is located in an idyllic countryside setting in Aurora, Ohio enveloped by beautiful pastures and carefree wildflower gardens. She began the day getting ready in a suite at Inn Walden surrounded by her bridesmaids and family. For each of her bridesmaids, Haley picked out matching teal posy robes which they wore as they applied makeup and sipped champagne.
Once the girls were ready, Haley stepped into her gown, a luxurious silk satin dress with a lace bodice and delicate capped sleeves. Lace accented the cathedral train along with tiny pearl beads. Small fabric buttons on the back of the gown traced from the neckline down to the end of the train. Her blonde curls were neatly coiffed by a crystal encrusted hairpiece. Both Haley and Drew had chosen to exchange letters and gifts prior to the ceremony. Haley was ecstatic to receive a stunning pearl necklace and Drew was equally thrilled to receive a new watch.
The couple used a rich fall palette of deep reds, lavender, pink and cream throughout their wedding day. Haley’s bouquet was a colorful array of mums and garden roses. A charm on her bouquet and a matching charm on Drew’s boutonniere honored Drew’s father. Following a touching ceremony under a rose covered arbor, we had the chance to explore the beautiful grounds of Inn Walden – including a quaint and ancient barn. Haley kicked off her heels (literally), and enjoyed every moment exploring with Drew.
For the reception, we headed over to the grand Greystone Hall. The cream-colored walls and draperies provide the most romantic background, and Haley’s choice of elegant rose and hydrangea centerpieces was picture-perfect. Maple syrup favors were gifts for their guests (compliments of Haley’s family farm) and a photo booth was fun entertainment for all throughout the night.
Thank you Haley and Drew for sharing your beautiful day with us! Congratulations!
