Stan Hywet Wedding Reception and Ceremony

– Myranda and Alex had a long love story leading up to this Stan Hywet wedding reception and ceremony. They met at a charming restaurant in Wadsworth where they began a casual, close friendship. It wasn’t long before they realized they were very fond of one another and starting dating. Seven years later, Myranda and Alex found the perfect place to call home. It was while unpacking boxes in the kitchen, that Alex got down on one knee and asked Myranda to be his bride. Myranda remarked that it was so special to receive a new home and become engaged on the same day!

Myranda began her day getting ready in the carriage house. She wore a stunning sleeveless lace and silk gown. The gown had an elegant open lace pattern with tiny silk covered buttons from her waist to her neck. The lace on this particular gown is called tattoo lace and only helped seal the deal for her gown selection. Myranda’s bridesmaids wore full length gowns in a deep raspberry. For her bouquet and for those of her bridesmaids, Myranda chose gorgeous cream peonies and old-fashioned roses.

A ceremony by the birch trees at Stan Hywet was the only option for these two lovebirds. Birch tree alley holds sentimental significance for Myranda and Alex, and with the sunlight streaming through the trees creating an ethereal glow, this location did not disappoint. Following the ceremony, the newly married couple stole a few moments in birch tree alley and on the overlook by the Tea Houses.

This Stan Hywet reception took place at the carriage house on the grounds. Little touches of birch tree alley along with sumptuous peonies and roses were visible in all elements of the reception. The birch tree cake came complete with Myranda and Alex’s carved initials and a birch tree cake knife and server. Centerpieces of mums and roses, along with the cupcakes platters, were supported with birch trunk slices.
