Summer Stan Hywet Wedding

-Krystal and Joe’s wedding ceremony took place at the magnificent and stately Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. Krystal’s family and bridesmaids were there by her side, at the Carriage House, to help her button up her wedding gown and put finishing touches on her attire. When shopping for her dress, Krystal was surprised to fall in love with her ivory, fit and flare mermaid style dress. It was not what she had initially pictured. But once Krystal tried on her dress, with its elegant pearl covered straps, deep v-neck, and soft ivory color, she knew it was “the one”! To go along with her gown, Krystal borrowed her veil from Joe’s sister and added matching crystal jewelry and super cute, hot pink pumps.

The couple wanted a special moment together before the ceremony, so they decided on a first look at the mysterious and romantic English Garden. This very sweet moment was followed by a picturesque ceremony at the Tea Houses overlooking the lagoon below. The ceremony space was dressed up with a breathtaking arrangement of roses in various shades of bold pink. Krystal’s bouquet held the same beautiful roses along with massive white lilies. The colorful florals were a perfect complement to the soft pink, full-length gowns worn by her bridesmaids.

Krystal spent many years working at St. George’s Family Center in Fairlawn and this location holds a great deal of sentimental meaning for her and her family. So, it was a natural choice for her wedding reception. The tables were set with a mix of elegant high and low centerpieces overflowing with garden roses along with pink linens and gold charger plates. Instead of a cake, she and Joe decided on a room filled with tables of cookies and desserts, from mini cheesecakes and tarts to eclairs and chocolate covered strawberries. And instead of wedding favor trinkets, the couple treated their guests to a green screen photo booth with photos printed for friends and family.

After the first dance, Krystal swapped out her heels for fun, and comfortable!, hot pink Converse shoes. Being that Joe is a self-professed beer snob, the couple included a craft beer bar. So in-between dances on the dance floor, Joe and Krystal sampled some of Joe’s favorite beers with friends and had some laughs in the photo booth.
