~ Classic Gervasi Wedding ~
Alyssa and Aaron wanted their wedding to be intimate, stress-free, and with classic designs that won’t go out of style. And they achieved just that! From the charming stain glass windows of their church to the picturesque grounds of a winery chosen from their love of visiting vineyards in northern Michigan, Alyssa and Aaron’s wedding day was a beautiful depiction of their shared love for each other.
Alyssa’s bridal look included a romantic gown with lots of detail work on the straps and neckline. A long train, the reason Alyssa chose this dress, displayed a beautiful decorative trim. Jeweled shoes and a necklace fashioned from her great-grandmother’s engagement ring added a special touch. Alyssa completed her look with a mid-length veil and transparent white shawl. Alyssa’s bridesmaids wore long burgundy dresses with sweetheart necklines and off-the-shoulder cap sleeves. They also wore white shawls to match Alyssa. The bridal bouquets featured pops of pink, yellow, peach, and white among a base of greens. Aaron wore a classic black suit with a white shirt, vest, tie, and pocket square. His groomsmen dressed in identical suits with burgundy ties and pocket squares. Their boutonnieres were a simple pale-yellow rose.
The day began at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church where Alyssa and Aaron’s friends and family members witnessed the couple become husband and wife. After the ceremony, guests headed to the iconic Gervasi Vineyard to begin a night of fun. Alyssa and Aaron’s reception was intimate and romantic, with burgundy accents popping against white tablecloths and centerpieces with bright florals on display. A handmade shadowbox that showed an image of a tree with ‘A + A’ allowed guests to ‘check-in’ by leaving a personalized note on a small wooden heart. The couple’s card box was a small wine barrel with their names and wedding date on display. A three-tiered cake featured stunning icing flowers in cream, pink, and burgundy, and tasted just as good as it looked. Alyssa and Aaron danced the night away with their friends and family, and set everyone home with some personalized M&M’s!
Thank you Aaron and Alyssa for sharing your beautiful day with us! Congratulations!!
