Gervasi Conservatory Spring Wedding

-Some say that April showers bring May flowers, but these April showers bring love. Although Julie and Jason had a few sprinkles throughout their day, they did not let the showers dampen their spirits. The couple had initially considered a destination wedding but wanted to be able to share the day with close family and friends. A small and intimate wedding in the Conservatory at Gervasi was a perfect fit.

Julie donned her wedding gown with her mother and sister by her side in the elegant Tuscany inspired villa at Gervasi. She wore a mermaid style dress with a sweetheart neckline, semi-open back, and lace straps. Her sister placed the veil in Julie’s hair – a gift to Julie from her own wedding day. Also in her hair was a hand-beaded Swarovski crystal headband and her look was completed by delicate crystal earrings, bracelet and diamond necklace. In her hands, she carried a bouquet, handmade by the bride herself.

Jason waited outside the entrance to Julie’s villa, where they shared a sweet first look prior to the ceremony. He wore his armed forces navy blues decorated with his many service ribbons, medals, and badges. The ceremony was written by Julie with help from her parents and used some of the same passages that were used in Jason’s sister’s wedding 12 years ago. Following the ceremony, Julie and Jason shared a private dinner with family at the Bistro restaurant.
