~ Romantic Tuscan Gervasi Wedding ~
Rob and Jessica were introduced by mutual friends, and when they met, Rob was taken in by Jessica’s beautiful eyes and warm smile. By the end of that first night, this along with Jessica’s infectious laugh had him hooked. So, just a few short years later, after becoming close to each other’s friends and families, Rob arranged a very private and touching proposal. After the couple took a trip to Tuscany last summer, Rob fell in love with everything Italian. So, for that reason, they decided on a wedding with a Tuscan, Italian feel. Jessica had always wanted to get married on the gorgeous grounds of Gervasi Vineyard. Where better to have an Italian themed wedding than at an Italian themed winery?
In one of Gervasi’s luxurious villas, Jessica prepared for the day with her mother and bridesmaids. For her gown, she chose a lace, strapless, fit and flare in a soft champagne color. The back of her lace dress featured a line of silk covered buttons and sheer lace detailing that extended into an elegant train. And hidden just under the bottom of the gown, Jessica had her something blue: a monogrammed label in her maiden initials. Her dress was complemented by silver beaded heels and delicate crystal jewelry.
Once ready, Jessica planned a reveal with her father on the lawn outside the villa. For the occasion, he had custom cufflinks as a tribute to his little girl. This was directly followed by a heartwarming first look with Rob by the lake. Rob looked dashing in his simple black tux with a hint of wine to compliment the colors in Jessica’s bouquet. Her bouquet was filled with lots of greenery and cream colored roses. Wine and deep red roses and flowers, along with accents of silver, added pops of color. A sentimental beaded star, a gift from Jessica’s grandmother, was tucked inside the bouquet. We were able to sneak in a few pics with the wedding party before a soft drizzle of rain just prior to the ceremony. Jessica’s bridesmaids were gorgeous in their silver and grey full-length gowns, with wine colored dresses for the sweet flower girls. Make sure that you check out the adorable scene stealer below : )
Jessica arrived at the ceremony in an oh-so-romantic horse-drawn carriage. She was preceded down the aisle by a cute antique buggy, adorned with a bundle of flowers, for her ring bearers. Rob and Jessica were both beaming throughout the ceremony, which included a tying of God’s knot (cords of three). After the ceremony, the couple took a quick ride in the carriage as their guests enjoyed an all’aperto cocktail hour and entertainment by an Italian accordionist.
The reception, inside the Gervasi Pavilion, was top to bottom Italian inspired. The tables were named after locations in Italy and each place setting included an Italian menu, set with a sprig of rosemary. Every guest received a custom created wooden placard and a parting gift of limoncello. A special table was created for the “bambinos” with a scavenger hunt, Polaroid cameras and a gift bag filled with glow-sticks and other treats. And after dinner, the couple served traditional Italian cookies and cassata cake.
Thank you Rob and Jessica for sharing your beautiful day with us! Congratulations!
