Historic Onesto Wedding
-Courtney and Connor have many relatives that began dating in high school, so you can safely say that high school sweethearts run in their families. These two were not only high school sweethearts but had a short “relationship” in junior high and when looking over old photos, realized that they technically met at the age of three at a birthday party. It did not take long for Courtney and Connor realized that they had an intense, rare and true love.
Connor proposed to Courtney on the Ledges Trail of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park – a favorite hiking spot of the two. Connor bought a ring in the style that she had always envisioned, asked for her father’s blessing, and coordinated for a photographer friend of the family to randomly “bump into” them on the trail. The family friend casually walked up and offered to take their picture. As the two were getting ready to pose for the picture, Connor quickly got down on one knee and asked Courtney to spend the rest of her life with him.
When planning her wedding Courtney envisioned a wedding with lots of plush white, full of champagne and laughs and dancing until the end of the night. Her palette consisted of white, black and gold accents with a classic elegant feel. The Historic Onesto with its opulent ballroom and mezzanine lobby was an easy decision for the wedding venue. Escort cards were hung in the vintage hotel key cabinet, with an attached key bottle opener as favors for their guests.
Because white hydrangeas are Courtney’s absolute best-loved flower, sumptuous arrangements of white hydrangeas decorated each table along with the cake and throughout every bouquet. Courtney’s bouquet was wrapped in a section of her mother’s wedding gown and perfectly complemented her gorgeous gown, a classic mermaid style silhouette and sweetheart neckline. Her bridesmaids wore my all-time favorite, a black and white color blocked high-low gown complete with stylish ankle strap heels.
When looking back over their wedding day, Courtney and Connor were surprised at how well everything came to together in the end. And although they were thrilled to see their vision play out so flawlessly, Courtney most poignantly stated “take a step back at the reception as husband and wife and look and what you’ve put together and all of your loved ones in the room because they might not all be in the same room together again”.
Thank you Courtney and Connor for sharing your beautiful day with us! Congratulations!
