Vibrant Coral Wedding

– It’s not every wedding couple that receives a special congratulatory letter from the President of the United States. Karly and Jason were thrilled to welcome President Obama’s well wishes and they proudly displayed their letter in the Pavilion at Gervasi Vineyard. Among the letter were Karly and Jason’s stethoscopes (these two cute nurses met on the job – read their engagement story) and Karly’s handmade decor, all in beautiful hues of coral and pink.

Karly and Jason took their vows in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where Karly wore a beautiful strapless gown with a ivory lace overlay and beading in a gorgeous champagne color to compliment her fair complexion. Her wedding band was set with diamonds from her great-grandmother’s wedding ring and she wore crystal and pearl jewelry to complete her look. Beautiful shades of coral were carried through all of the details of the day, from the vibrant garden roses in Karly’s bouquet to the handmade streamer ribbons and lawn games provided for friends and family.

This crafty bride designed and made everything from the wine bottle centerpieces to the escort cards. The wine bottles were hand-painted in shades of coral and gray and accented with satin and lace trimmed candle votives. Favors for her guests were wine class charms that Karly created using a fun variety of charms that matched the couple’s personalities and interests. Karly also made table numbers with photos of bride and groom (when at the age of the number on the table : ), escort cards and card holders, along with a very special guestbook sign. The guestbook sign was made from an old bench that was in the backyard of Jason and Karly’s first home. This sweet girl with boundless energy took the bench apart, cleaned the wood, sanded it down, stained it and nailed it together to make the sign!
